IH Ltd Standard Split Manifold

    

Our new split manifolds, have been designed to work with both our new overlay system, which uses 8 mm pipe, and our standard 16mm and 20 mm pipe systems.


It gives the installer more room to work around the pipe, and comes in sizes from 2 groups to 15 groups, and uses Wilo pumps. As with all of our pumped manifolds, it has been designed for ease of use and installation, as it is a complete self-regulating manifold with integrated pump and mixing valve, it's pre-assembled. The installer simply connects up the underfloor heating pipes, then connects a flow and return from the boiler/Heat Pump and adds the regulating valve. After the screed has dried out, the system can then run. You can even use the regulating valve to run the system at a low flow temperature of 20c to finish off drying out the screed. This self-regulating manifold is competitively priced, easy to fit and, importantly, easy to regulate. We can also supply a composite plastic manifold if required.(see picture with the overlay system)

 


IH Ltd New Compact Manifold

    

This new manifold layout, takes up less room, and is ideal for installations, where space is limited. It comes in sizes from 2 groups to 6 groups, and uses Wilo pumps. As with all of our pumped manifolds, it has been designed for ease of use and installation, as it is a complete self-regulating manifold with integrated pump and mixing valve, it's pre-assembled. The installer simply connects up the underfloor heating pipes, then connects a flow and return from the boiler/Heat Pump and adds the regulating valve. After the screed has dried out, the system can then run. You can even use the regulating valve to run the system at a low flow temperature of 20c to finish off drying out the screed. This self-regulating manifold is competitively priced, easy to fit and, importantly, easy to regulate.

 


IH Ltd New Composite Split Manifold

    

The new IH Split Composite Manifold is supplied in a wide range of sizes, from one to twenty groups. It is suitable for underfloor heating installations where the flow temperature is controlled centrally, and comes with flow meters, however, your Design Technician can advise you on the other options available.


The IH Split Composite Manifold is supplied fully assembled and includes a mounting kit.

 


IH Ltd Compact Manifold

    

The IH Ltd Compact Manifold has been specially designed for the self-installer due to its ease of installation and quick reactions times. A complete self-regulating manifold with integrated pump and mixing valve, it's pre-assembled, ready to fit and is available in up to 13 groups or zones. The installer simply connects up the underfloor heating pipes, then connects a flow and return from the boiler and adds the regulating valve. After the screed has dried out, the system can then run. This manifold has been installed in a wide variety of IH Ltd projects. This self-regulating manifold is competitively priced, easy to fit and, importantly, easy to regulate.


We can also offer a variation on the compact manifold, suited for use with thermal stores. If the manifold is within 5 meters of the thermal store, we can modify the manifold connections so the manifold pump can draw from the thermal store as well as pumping around the underfloor circuits. Normally the manifold pump cannot draw from the heating system and requires a system pump to supply the manifold with heated water. However in its positive layout it reduces the need of a system pump.


The newer style manifold now comes in black.

 


IH Ltd Compact Plus Manifold

This manifold is being phased out through 2016/2017

    

Identical to the IH Ltd Compact Manifold but designed for larger, commercial systems. It's self-regulating and features an integrated pump and mixing valve. Available in 14-20 groups, it's pre-assembled and ready to fit. The installer simply connects up the underfloor heating pipes, connects the flow and return pipe from the boiler, adds a regulating valve and the system can run. This self-regulating manifold is competitively priced, easy to fit and, importantly, easy to regulate.

 


IH Ltd LT Manifold

This manifold is being phased out through 2016/2017

    

The IH Ltd LT (Low Temperature) Manifold is similar to the IH Ltd Compact Manifold but without the pump and regulating valve. It's a simple flow and return unit, available from 2 to 20 groups or zones. It's ideal for use with a heat pump or condensing boiler system.

 


IH Ltd Pipe

    

Manufactured in Germany, IH Ltd underfloor heating pipe is a 5-layer PE-RT (polyethylene for raised temperature) midi composite pipe with an oxygen barrier at its centre. The oxygen barrier is firmly fused between the internal and external layers using an adhesive polymer, making the whole pipe a single unit. We use 8 mm x 1 mm (overlay), 16 mm x 2 mm (standard) and 20 mm x 3.4 m (heavy duty for use within concrete slabs) pipe sizes.


If the oxygen barrier was on the outside it would be subject to wear and tear caused by moisture and air, resulting in silting, corrosion, cracking and possible eventual detachment of the layer itself. The external PE-RT later of the IH Ltd pipe protects external environmental damage.


Stress rupture tests have shown that midi composite pipe is resistant to higher pressure than those pipes without oxygen barrier. The melting point of the oxygen barrier is more than 180°C.


Because oxygen is the primary factor that influences pipe aging, the midi composite pipe design ensures almost no oxygen exchange (oxygen permeability is below 0.01g/m3 per day, significantly below DIN4726 requirements of 0.1g/m3).


The IH Ltd underfloor heating system runs at average of 1.5 bar with a water temperature of between 45-70°C.  IH Ltd pipe carries a 50 year guarantee.

 


IH Overlay System

    

Our new overlay system uses 8 mm pipe (the same make up as our 16 and 20mm UFH pipe), and is laid within a 12 mm plastic grid. This gives a low profile of just 12 mm.


Pictures show an installation with our new composite plastic pumped manifold, installed in Heatwells office (Electric Central Heating Co Ltd) in Hucknall Notts.


The system has been installed in Holland, Germany, Scotland, Yorkshire and England, and can be run off a standard boiler, pellets boilers or heat pumps.
